The   purpose   of   this   stage   is   to   create   the   right   service   delivery   model   and   supply   source   that   will achieve   the   desired   product   or   service   outcomes.   If   the   preferred   option   is   to   secure   an   external supply   source   -   this   stage   will   normally   involve   a   competitive   procurement   process.   Informed   by the    previous    stages,    or    any    cross    cutting    category    management    strategy,    it    will    result    in    a contract,   supplier   and   supply   chain   that   is   best   able   to   meet   the   cost,   quality   and   performance objectives you have set.
