We are always keen to share best practice, knowledge and how tools and techniques have been used to help us develop better insights, improve decision making or simply to help us make sense of what is going on. Let us know if you come across anything new or innovative - and feel free to make use of any of the resources here.
One of the keys to embedding good commissioning and procurement practice is to help people understand how all the various parts of the commissioning process fit together. With an holistic view of the process it’s then easier to improve consistency and develop a shared understanding of what needs to be done when. Our view of the commissioning process takes from the best available and we have aligned some of the activities that need to be undertaken at each stage. We call this an Inventory of Practice, but like painting the Forth Railway bridge it will never be complete and some organisations may see things differently - we hope it helps bring you some clarity.
We have summarised some of the key tools and techniques that might be useful to you. If you have any question about their application - please get in touch.
